get a commission from the shops. In this way they will take you to the
shops that offer them the highest commission regardless of the prices or
quality of goods.
We charge you a one off fee for the day. |

NO COMMISSION is taken from any of the suppliers/shops. This is one of our selling points. As a result this
means you are never obliged to make any purchase, moreover, our
recommendations are not motivated by financial gain.
All suppliers/shops have been chosen after exhaustive searches around
the city. In some places we have been able to negotiate a lower price
for our clients.
Our shopping guides are either native English speakers or fluent in the
language. They have been personally trained to the high standards of the
company owner and also speak Thai.
We would require from you a “shopping brief” beforehand so we can work
out a schedule of places to visit. This can be done via
e-mail or by fax. |

The shopping day
|
| In order to avoid the legendary Bangkok traffic as much
as is practicable we will pick you up from your hotel at 9.30am and will
drop you back or to an address you specify at 4.30pm. Of course, the
guest can tailor a shopping day to their schedule. Numbers are normally
restricted to two persons at a time. For larger numbers please contact
us for a quote. Lunch can be arranged for those interested at an extra
charge. |

| What to buy? |
Jewellery, particularly rubies, sapphires set in gold,
platinum or silver . Buy ready made, loose stones or have something
designed. One of the great buys from Bangkok.
Ceramics – Blue and white, Celadon, Bencharong,
Silks/Cottons/Linen - Wide range of colours and textures for having
clothes or soft furnishings made.
Tailors, shirtmakers, dressmakers - Casual and formal shirts, suits,
blazers, dresses, skirts.
Silverware, Bronzeware - Silver from the North, tableware, cutlery
Old Furniture – Thai, Chinese, Burmese colonial, Indonesian.
New Furniture - high quality craftsmanship- made to your own design. |

Thai Handicrafts – basket ware, lacquer ware, household goods,
sculptures Gifts
– old and new – beads, scarves, coloured
glassware, wooden vases, boxes, lacquer-ware, soft furnishings, wedding

Week-end Market
|
| The weekend market (Chatuchak market) is only open on
Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 5pm. It is huge and fascinating but a
whole day there is unadvisable, as it can get hot and exhausting. We
know many of the stallholders and most importantly, know how to navigate
the crowds and access the interesting areas with minimum of stress. |

| It is also a wonderful place
for those interested in Thai food as along with countless small food
stalls there is also an exciting food market. For those customers
wishing only to visit Chatuchak the charge is half
day fee (4 hours) of 120 USD plus cost of transport. An early start of
9am is advisable. |

A Culinary slant
|
The food in Thailand is marvelous; whether it be the
variety of street food available or the mouth-watering dishes in the
more sophisticated local restaurants.
We can organize trips to the food markets of Bangkok as well as take you
to authentic Thai eating spots and to some of the best
street stalls. |

numbers of people if the shopping takes second place. Please contact us

|
Full Day 240 USD (9.30 am –
4.30pm) including shopping guide, car and driver.
Half Day 160 USD ( 4 hours ) including shopping guide, car and driver.
For those wishing to use taxis/public transport the price will be 190
USD for the day or 120 USD for half a day plus cost of taxis/skytrain
etc.
For those used to luxury travel, a Mercedes Benz car can be organised
for an extra 60 USD for the day. |

Shipping
|
| Our company can arrange for
large pieces or quantities of purchases to be shipped using a very
reliable international shipping agent. They will be able to clear
