TOUR SUMMARY
The bicycle is a perfect way to discover the distinct scenery of the Mekong Delta the “bread Bowl of Vietnam”. The adventure begins in Cai Be and ends in Can Tho, we visit islands in the Mekong, many of the Khmer temples that abound in this region. The lotus pond of Can Tho and the floating market of Phong Dien. We cross rivers and ride over many quiet back roads passing local schools, fruit orchard and many of the cottage industries that make up this delightful part of Vietnam.
 
RIDING PROFILE

This trip covers approx 150 kilometres on well surfaced roads. The daily distances are not too long and the terrain is gentle so this trip suitable for most people. Our route is designed to take us off the main roads as much as possible. And we explore scenic back roads on the way to all our destinations. An air-conditioned vehicle will travel behind the group to support us.
 
ITINERARY
Day 1 Saigon – Cai Be 18-30 km [L,D]
Transfer out of Saigon and ride to Cai Be on back roads staying in a typical Vietnamese house.
   
Day 2 Cai Be - Vinh Long 40 km [B,L,D]
Enjoy a boat journey to one of the islands in the Mekong. Bike along country lanes passing orchard and observing the colourful life on the river. We take a sampan across a river before finishing at the Khmer town of Tra Vinh.
   
Day 3 Vinh Long – Can Tho 40 km [B, L, D]
Ride through more Khmer villages and visit local temples for their interesting architecture. This is a peaceful and very pretty ride all the way to Can Tho.
   
Day 4 Can Tho – Saigon 40km [B,L]
Time to visit early morning market by bike at Phong Dien. Continue cycling along the river and small roads before finishing at our lunch stop. After lunch transfer back to Saigon (4 hours).

Road Surface This tour follows a mixture of well-surfaced roads and small dirt roads.
Support One or two air-conditioned vehicles to act as support and transport luggage.

Food All meals are included except for the breakfast on Day 1 and dinner on Day 4.
Children Children between the age of 12 -17 years old are welcome to join this tour.
