| TOUR SUMMARY |
Mountain bikes are the perfect way to discover North Thailand.
Starting in Chiang Mai our tour explores the hills and tribal lands of
North Thailand. Riding north to Chiang Dao we visit Tha Ton, Doi Mae
Salong, Doi Tung and Mae Sai before reaching the Golden Triangle.
Riding through spectacular mountain scenery, we visit many tribal
villages and our mountain bikes allow us to explore parts of north
Thailand few tourists ever visit. Although bicycles are our main form
of transport, we also travel by boat and elephant. One night is spent
in a Lahu tribal village; otherwise we use comfortable accommodation
and provide first-class support. |

RIDING PROFILE |
|
This is a mountain bike tour designed for riders
with at least some off road experience. Approximately 40% of the
500+kilometres we cover are off-road. The terrain varies from forest
trails and single track to good quality asphalt roads.
We are shadowed by a well-equipped escort vehicle and our guides have
powerful two-way radios. However please note that some rides are not
supported due to the terrain. Some climbs are challenging and some
off-road descents are technical, therefore participants should be
confident of their physical condition and bike handling skills.
Off-road biking experience is an advantage.
